Quality Academics
The academic rigor of LHN is seen in its college preparatory curriculum. LHN's student body comes from a broad academic background. Students from both ends of the spectrum are challenged in their studies and expected to perform at a high level.
Quality academics at LHN is defined by a faculty who:
- Demand Quality work
- Are creative in their approaches to learning
- Make learning relevant
- Create a learning atmosphere
- Are life-long learners in their field of expertise
- Care for the whole child
Meaningful Ministry
Meaningful Ministry at LHN is defined first and foremost by caring relationships. Such relationships are seen among all of the school's constituencies. These relationships are built in a variety of ways, but always with a focus of being based on the fact that "we love because He loved us" (I John 4:10)
Ministry among teenagers can only be meaningful when it is relevant to their lives. In religion classes, through servant events and within all other classes and activities. The Christian faith comes alive when students encounter the love of Jesus Christ. The LHN community responds to this love by supporting and being directly involved in Christian service to each other and to those who are less fortunate.
