Whenever You Switch Computers

       Show File Extensions
1) Open Windows Explorer (or My Computer)
2) Change your View to List View
3) Go to the Tools menu, then choose
4) Folder Options
5) View
6) UNCHECK "Hide extensions for known file types"
7) Click the "Apply To All Folders" box

       Define Your Dreamweaver Site
1) Open Dreamweaver
2) Go to the Site menu at the top of your screen
3) Choose New Site
4) Use Your Name as the Site Name and http://www.lhn.org as the HTTP address of your site (1st screen)
5) No, do NOT use a server technology (2nd screen)
6) Use the yellow file folder icon to navigate to H:\web2 as the place to store your files (3rd screen)
7) Use FTP to connect to your remote server (4th screen)
8) Hostname of your web server is www.lhn.org
9) Folder to store your files in is web2_08/username
10) Your FTP login is username@lhn.local
11) Your FTP password is the same password you use to login to LHN computers
12) TEST the connection!
13) Enable check in and check out (5th screen)
14) Provide your Full Name and a working e-mail address
15) To make changes or change your password after initial site definition:
                    double-click on your Site Name at the top of your Files panel on the right side of the screen


       Set Up a Working Outlook E-mail Account
1) Open Outlook
2) Make a new POP3 account
3) Your Full Name
4) username@lhn.org
5) pop.lhn.org
6) smtp.lhn.org
7) username@lhn.org
8) your regular login password
9) Test Account Settings (you should get 5 green arrows if everything is working)
10) Change your View to Reading Pane OFF
11) Send yourself a test e-mail; press Send-Receive; the message moves from your Outbox to your
Sent Items box; press Send-Receive again; the message returns to your Inbox
