LHN Lions Varsity Soccer had another successful regular season. For the second year in a row, they are District Champions! They ended the season on a thirteen-game winning streak and went 12-0 in district. They were led in scoring by senior Landry Good who had 22 goals. The midfield was anchored by junior Robbie Kinloch who had 26 assists. The defense was controlled by the speedy senior Walter Rivera and senior Goalkeeper Lee Nino who had 6 District shut-outs. Freshman Collin Morrissey helped out on offense along with senior speed demon Joe McManners. Senior Clay Phonenix’s shifty moves and senior Josh Murray’s accurate crosses complimented the midfield. Seniors Josh Martens and Chris Park helped keep the opponent’s offense at bay. Finally, sophomore Seth Eifert helped distribute the ball in the middle. It seems like the LHN lions don’t rebuild they reload. The team will be losing twelve seniors including Carlos Simba, Jose Cordero, Kaden Derkowski, and Adam Hernandez. They will all be sorely missed. Congratulations Lions on another great regular season! Let the playoffs begin!!
