Two girls from Ohio go to Greenwich Village in New York City during the summer of 1935 to seek fame and fortune. They find colorful local characters, love, and adventure instead. The music for this delightful show was written by Leonard Bernstein, the same man who wrote the music for “West Side Story.” It’s based on the play “My Sister Eileen, by Joseph Fields and Jerome Chodorov, and the stories by Ruth McKinney.
